Bloomsteel
A collaborative project and featured art installation at Unity House, this laser-cut steel barrier weaves the Flower of Life into a honeycomb lattice, symbolizing sacred order and organic kinship. A copper sulfate patina lends the steel a living surface, echoing the oxidized hues of weathered earth. Rooted in CCG's ethos of symbiosis, the piece serves as a threshold between the built and the blooming.
Hack Michigan
GLS participated in Hack Michigan’s Small Business AI Adoption Challenge, a 48-hour event focused on creating affordable, resource-conscious solutions for Michigan small business owners. The team developed and pitched an AI-powered project management and task delegation tool designed to support deskless workers.

A community-driven platform that connects residents with local resources, events, and services in Southwest Detroit. It provides real-time information about community initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and neighborhood news, with the goal of strengthening community engagement and improving access to essential needs in the neighborhood.

A reclaimed wooden spool transformed into a one-of-a-kind garden table, with a design by a local artist and a colorful tabletop painted by neighborhood youth. A centerpiece, place to gather, and invitation for young people to connect with the space, express their creativity, and learn together.
