Building sustainable spaces

We design and build resilient spaces that combine low-tech wisdom with high-tech innovation, prioritizing salvaged and reclaimed materials and aiming to reduce extraction and minimize environmental impact while creating community-centered spaces.

Bring teams and communities together to build spaces through collaboration, shared skills, and support of local supply chains.

Unity House

IMG_7186.png

Demonstrating an affordable, adaptable approach to sustainable housing, Unity House is a community center built hand-in-hand as a community and locally-scaled for connection and creativity.

Built with two shipping containers as its structural base and a modular living space positioned above, the design integrates a solar system and green roof, greywater system, and high-efficiency passive design to reduce energy and water consumption.

Passive Greenhouse

A sustainable greenhouse with a north wall made from adobe and a stemwall constructed with salvaged waste concrete.

It features an integrated aquaponic system that circulates nutrient-rich water between fish tanks and plant beds, conserving water while naturally nourishing crops. The adobe provides thermal mass to regulate interior temperatures, while the reclaimed concrete creates a durable foundation.
